Great pride as learners graduate

Pictured above at a celebration event on Friday, 24th June last, in the Regional Skills and Training Centre, Coes Road, Dundalk are a group of learners who completed the QQI Level 4 Office Support Skills programme.

To mark the completion of the programme, the President of the LMETB, Oliver Tully, and the President of the Dundalk Chamber of Commerce, Michael Gaynor, congratulated the learners on successfully completing the 14 week programme. Speaking at the event, Oliver Tully said he was “proud to be here representing the LMETB Board of Management acknowledging the wonderful effort, achievement and success of each learner.”

Michael Gaynor echoed the sentiments of Oliver and further added that in his role as President of the Chamber of Commerce, he was very cognisant of the wonderful array of programmes that RSTC offer. He praised the work ethic and attainment of the Office Support Skills learners and expressed his delight at being able to celebrate it with them.

Ray Murphy, LMETB’s Assistant Training Manager said “the programme which ran for 14 weeks in the centre, consists of four modules and covers a range of skills and competencies required to work in an office environment including the use of office equipment, computer applications, managing filing systems and customer service. Participants on the programme received both QQI Level 4 minor awards and Level 4 Major Awards in Office Support Skills. LMETB is proud of each and every one of you and we know that each one of you will build successful careers using the skills you gained from the programme”.
