Out and about in Dundalk this week

1- Focus Ireland Collection Day:

Focus Ireland are seeking volunteers to help with a collection day this Thursday. If you would like to help out and give back to the community contact Margaret at 086-6042854.

2- Music Books:

This Friday and Saturday the Louth Contemporary Music Society will present music books in different venues around Dundalk. Musicians will perform the fives books of music and works especially created for the occasion.

- Book of light and shadow: Dundalk Gaol — Friday 17 June, 8pm

- Book of love: St. Nicholas Church of Ireland Dundalk — Saturday 18 June 1pm

-Book of elements: Dundalk Gaol —Saturday 18 June, 3pm

-Book of quiet: Dundalk Basement Gallery — Saturday 18 June, 5.30pm

-Book of songs: St Nicholas Church of Ireland, Dundalk — Saturday 18 June, 8pm

3-Stars In Their Eyes Event:

A stars in their eyes event is taking place in aid of Rape Crisis North East at the Ramanda Resort Hotel on the Armagh Road this Saturday at 8PM. Tickets range from €15 for adults, €10 for children or €40 for a family of four. Tickets on sale in Grants Newsagents Dublin Street.

4- Fundraiser In Carlingford:

A fundraiser called “ The Cow Crap Grid” will take place this Sunday at The Foy Centre in Carlingford. The game will see a cow arrive in The Foy Centre field on the day. The field will be divided into a grid and each ticket sold represents an area of that grid. Wherever the cow plops, that grid ticket holder wins. Tickets are €20 or you can buy three for €50. All proceeds are going to a children’s cancer charity “Aoibheann’s Pink Tie”, the Maria Goretti Foundation in Lordship and The Foy Centre.
