Dundalk BIDS has begun the countdown for it’s inaugural Independent Traders Day which will take place on Saturday 4 June.
This will be a fun day on The Square and will also feature Radio Roulette on LMFM which is expected to attract 300 to 400 families from outside the town.
BIDS is calling on all traders over the next two days to distribute all window posters, colour schemes (optional) and most of all the Facebook banners and profile pics.
They hope to ensure that the sale day message will go viral. There is also a twitter hashtag/Dundalksupersaturday for all to use and promote.
They would also like to thank everyone who has contributed to the €5,000 prize fund for their spin the wheel competition.
They now have a fantastic holiday lined up in the giveaway with special thanks to McGuill Travel and www.faty.ie.
The manager of Dundalk BIDS Martin McElligott recently announced that the company hope to relaunch the town’s Maytime Festival.
The Maytime Festival was first launched in the mid 60s and now a revitalised Dundalk BIDS plan to restore the festival is planned for next year, probably a 10-day event.
