The public have been urged to make note of the Dundalk Parade route
Parade-goers have been urged to consider where they park their cars ahead of Dundalk's St Patrick's Day Festival.
The warning came from Green Party councillor Marianne Butler, who told the March meeting of the Dundalk Municipal District that drivers risked having their cars stuck along the parade route.
She called on the local authority to make people aware of the specific route the parade will take.
"It’d just be great to get that message out there."
"This is the parade route and if you need your car between these hours, maybe don’t park there," she said.

Cllr Butler also encouraged people to make avail of the free parking across Dundalk before the parade.
"We make a big thing about half-priced parking in the month of December. Can we get the message out there that parking is free for people coming into Dundalk, and there’s going to be a great parade in Dundalk," she said.
The Green Party councillor said there is always confusion surrounding St Patrick's Day and urged the public to be aware there is also a parade for scouts in the morning.
