Louth County Council have been urged to apply for the new Towns and Cities Regeneration Fund.
The fund is open to all local authorities and towns with a population of over 9,000, such as Dundalk and Drogheda.
Funding from this round will support both projects that are deliverable in the short term (up to a maximum of €9m for relevant projects that can be onsite by September 2027) and also projects that are at an earlier stage of development (up to a maximum of €150,000) to enable their continued progression and create a pipeline of future projects for delivery.

Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage, James Browne said the new funding will provide stronger targeting of disadvantaged areas.
"Today, the first call for applications under the new Towns and Cities Regeneration Investment Fund goes live.
Building on the important work of the Urban Regeneration and Development Fund, this new scheme widens the net for those who can apply by taking in smaller towns from all over the country and will provide stronger targeting of disadvantaged areas."
“This fund offers local authorities the opportunity to regenerate and transform our town and cities and have a significant positive impact on the lives of those who live in them. I would strongly urge all local authorities to submit suitable projects and take advantage of this opportunity to deliver local transformative initiatives," he said
Funded by the Local Democracy Reporting Scheme.
