6kg of cocaine with an estimated value of €420,000 was seized in Drogheda
A woman aged in her 70s has been arrested in Drogheda after Gardaí seized cocaine estimated to be valued at €420,000.
The woman is due before the Dundalk District Court on Tuesday morning.
As part of ongoing investigations targeting the sale and supply of drugs and related criminal activity in the Louth/Cavan/Monaghan Division, Gardaí attached to the Divisional Drugs Unit carried out a search of a residential property in Drogheda, Co. Louth on Monday, 9th March 2026.
During the course of the search, Gardaí seized approximately 6kg of cocaine with an estimated value of €420,000 (subject to analysis).
A woman (70s) was arrested at the scene and detained at a Garda Station in County Louth under the provisions of Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996. She has since been charged and is due to appear before a sitting of Dundalk District Court on the morning of Tuesday, 10th March 2026.
