The investigation into the fatal explosion at a building complex in Creeslough, Co Donegal in 2022 is ongoing
The man arrested in Dundalk yesterday in connection with the investigation into the fatal explosion at a building complex in Creeslough, County Donegal in 2022, has been released without charge, with An Garda Síochána saying that a file will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
The man's solicitor, Mr Joe Rice, confirmed with the Dundalk Democrat that he was released at around 1am this morning. The man had voluntarily presented himself at Dundalk Garda Station on Thursday morning, where he was arrested shortly before 10am, for alleged offences contrary to the Non-Fatal Offences Against the Person Act 1997.
An Garda Síochána says that the investigation into the fatal explosion at a building complex in Creeslough, is ongoing, co-ordinated from Milford Garda station where an Incident Room has been established under the direction of a Senior Investigating Officer.
The investigation continues to be led by local Gardaí, in Donegal Division supported by the Garda National Bureau of Criminal Investigation (GNBCI) and other agencies including the Health and Safety Authority and the Commission for the Regulation of Utilities (CRU).
