Creative Spark presents Reside: Tenth Artist-in-Residence exhibition in Dundalk

Creative Spark is preparing for the tenth edition of its Artist-in-Residence exhibition

Creative Spark is preparing for the tenth edition of its Artist-in-Residence exhibition, which will be held in the Basement Gallery at An Táin Arts Centre in Dundalk.

The opening launch is scheduled for 9th October at 7pm, with the exhibition running from 10th October to 16th November 2024.

Titled Reside, the exhibition explores the concept of dwelling, belonging, and inhabiting spaces. Residing is interpreted not just as occupying a physical location, but also as inhabiting emotional and mental spaces.

The exhibition features the work of this year's participating artists, including Niamh Seana Meehan (Co. Down), Viola Wang (London, U.K.), Caoimhe O Dwyer (Co. Louth), Paddy Critchley (Co. Laois), Julie Corcoran (Co. Cavan), Eabha Cleary (Co. Wicklow), Hattie Bidwell (Sydney, Australia).

The Creative Spark Artist-in-Residence Programme provides visual artists and art professionals with the opportunity to research and develop their practices. It supports both emerging and established artists working in any medium, with a preference for those focusing on printmaking disciplines.
