Plans underway for 27 new homes in Carlingford
Plans are underway for a new mixed-use development in Carlingford that if given the go ahead will see new retail units and 27 new homes constructed.
Mucklane Ltd has applied to Louth County Council for planning permission for the development at Greenore Road, Liberties, Carlingford, comprising the construction of a new 27 unit residential development and three shop units.
The proposed residential units comprise seven, three-bedroom, two storey terraced houses; four, two-storey, three-bedroom, semi-detached houses; a three-bedroom detached, two storey house; a two-bedroom, detached age friendly single storey house; four, two-bedroom, semi-detached single storey age friendly dwelling houses; and ten two-bedroom, terraced single storey age friendly houses.
The planning application also provides for all ancillary and associated site development works including site clearance works, new vehicular/pedestrian access to residential units off the R176 Greenore Road, and access to the shop units taken off the main access into the Clos Na Manach residential development.
A decision is due on the application, which is at a pre-validation stage, by 14 November 2024, with submissions due by 24 October.
