The annual stroll around Dundalk Stadium for stroke returns this year with the local stroke survivors support group set to host a fun/charity walk on the road inside the horse race track at Dundalk Stadium.
This year the stroll will take place on Saturday 2nd September, with registration at 5pm.
The walk commences at 5.30pm and is a relatively short but scenic one of just 2km/10 furlongs, walking to a backdrop of the scenic Cooley Mountains.
On completion of the walk all are invited back to the stand in the stadium where sausage and chips will be served while viewing the night’s greyhound racing.
Those attending not only have the opportunity to view and bet on, ( if you choose) the local racing but will have the opportunity to view and bet on the Irish Derby final card coming directly from Shelbourne Park.
The Stroke support groups operate as part of the Irish Heart Foundation with all proceeds going to support local survivors.
