Louth County Council have given the go ahead for a new development of 62 houses just outside Dundalk.
Groveview Builders Ltd applied to the local planning authority in August 2022 for planning permission for the construction of 65 houses at a development addressed, Raynoldstown Village, Haynestown, Dublin Road, Dundalk. The planned houses comprised a mix of three and four bedroom, detached, semi-detached and terraced houses.
The planning application also provided for boundary treatments, landscaping and open spaces with existing vehicle and pedestrian access from the Dublin Road via The Boulevard and Green Gates Manor Avenue.
Louth County Council sought further information on the planned development in October of last year. Significant further information was submitted on 25 May 2023, which included additional house type designs and reduction in the total number of houses proposed to 62.
It also included an amended site layout plan, an amended red line boundary with the new red line area measuring c.3.89 hectares, updated Natura Impact Statement and additional technical information regarding the planning application.
Louth County Council granted conditional planning permission for the development on 6 July 2023.
