Top class field expected for 2023 renewal of Dundalk International

The Time Dundalk International is an invitation only race, with only the best greyhounds invited to run in one of the richest one-off greyhound races in Ireland and the UK.

With a total prize fund of €37,000, the winner will pocket a grand total of €20,000 whilst the runner-up will receive €6,000. €3,500 is on offer for third place and the remaining entrants get €2,500 each.

The event has a long history, having been first run in 1968 on the old Ramparts Track. Traditionally held on the 12th of July, the Time Dundalk International will be the feature of the unique Dual Racing Day.

The night’s greyhound racing will commence at approximately 7.30pm with the Time Dundalk International the ace of the card, which compromises of 12 races.

An afternoon of horse racing begins the day with first race going to post at approximately 2pm. The Ladies Day competition also features, where one lucky woman will walk away with a prize package to the value of €3,000 from The Fairways Hotel, 1111 Bang on Trend and The Gift & Art Gallery.

Alongside horse and greyhound racing, the event will also feature children’s entertainment, live music from Vertigo, Irish Dancing displays, jazz music and various food outlets. Bars will be open on all three floors, with ample seating both inside and outside.
