Louth LGFA recently announced their newest fundraising event, The Win a Wee Van Contest, which they will run in association with one of their main sponsors Blackstone Motors.
The draw is a way for the county board to fund the development of Ladies Football in Louth, at both club and inter county level, as the costs of running teams from U14 all the way up to adult level continues to increase.
The main prize is a Renault Kangoo Van, or €20,000 in cash. Tickets cost €20 and can be purchased from your local club. They will also be available at Louth matches throughout the Summer and beyond or online at winaweevan.com, with the draw set to take place later this year.
Delegates from clubs across the county were in attendance at the launch of the draw, which was held at the Dundalk showrooms of Blackstone Motors, the suppliers of the van.
There was also a plethora of players and management from a variety of the Louth county teams, including Senior manager Kit Henry and captain Aine Breen. Plus some prominent local politicians.
Attending the launch and soaking up the brilliant atmosphere was the Democrat's resident photographer Arthur Kinahan. Below is a gallery of the pictures he took.
