A new planning application has been lodged with Louth Council, seeking planning permission for 37 new homes at Haggardstown.

Andrews Construction Ltd has applied to the local authority for planning permission for a development at Old Golf Links Road, Haggardstown, Dundalk, on a site of circa 1.68 hectares.

The proposed development comprises the demolition of an existing single storey dwelling and associated outbuildings and the construction of 37 two storey residential units. The planned housing units comprise one three-bed cottage, 32 three-bed houses and four four-bed houses.

The planning application also provides for the formation of 4,067 sqm of landscaped open space areas; 69 in-curtilage car parking spaces and ten visitor parking spaces.

A decision is due on the application by 16 July 2023, with submissions due by 25 June. This is the second application submitted this year for this development.

An application was made by the same applicant on 31 March but was deemed incomplete by the local authority on 24 April.
The local authority deemed the application invalid as the applicant had not completed one of the questions on the application form.
