JOHN MITCHELS 1-18 ANNAGHMINNON ROVERS 1-6

John Mitchels took control of Division 3B after making it four wins from four in Ballybailie on Saturday evening with a clinical display against Annaghminnon Rovers.

A good start to the game, with well-constructed attacking moves, set the tone and points from Kevin Gallagher, Robbie Coyle, Trevor Matthews, John Bingham and two from John Gallagher left Mitchels with a five-point lead before Annaghminnon grew into the game with three successive points.

An inspiring diving block from John Bingham ensured they maintained the lead before finishing the half strongly with points from Stephen Campbell, John Gallagher, Matthews and two from Robbie Coyle. It made it 0-11 to 0-5 at half time.

The second half started in similar fashion to the first with clinical shooting from James Murray's side which stretched the lead, while the defence was rock solid throughout, keeping Annaghminnon to 1-1 for the entire second half. Jamie Durnin sealed the two points with a late goal.
