New plans underway for apartments at Clanbrassil St in Dundalk

Planning application lodged with Louth County Council

Plans are underway for a development at 57 Clanbrassil Street in Dundalk, that if given the go ahead, would see the construction of 14 new apartments.

Tanola Ltd. C/O Dundalk Fabrications has applied to Louth County Council for planning permission for the development at 57 Clanbrassil Street, that would consist of the refurbishment, alteration and extension of the existing building at ground floor level to accommodate a commercial unit, with associated bin storage, residential bin storage, residential bike storage and and associated circulation areas; as well as the refurbishment, alteration and extension to the first and second floor to form a one bedroom/two person apartment and a two bedroom/ four person apartment.

The planned development also includes plans for the construction of a new standalone apartment building to the rear of 57 Clanbrassil Street, consisting of 12 new apartments.

The planned apartments comprise 11 one bedroom /two person units and one two bedroom / four person unit.

The application also provides for associated circulation areas; communal open space at second and third floor levels; bulky storage serving the apartment units; plant room; public open space with visitor bike parking; PV panels to existing and proposed standalone apartment building; landscaping and all other associated site works.

A decision is due on the application by 6 July, with submissions due by 15 June 2023.
