HOLLYWOOD DEVELOPMENTS DIVISION 3A ROUND 3
OLIVER PLUNKETTS 3-15 NA PIARSAIGH BLACKROCK 0-5
Both sides were unbeaten going into this top of Division 3A clash in Mell on Saturday evening, and it was the home side who kept their record intact after a one-sided win over an out of sorts Na Piarsaigh Blackrock outfit.
Despite Seán Boyle’s early sending off, Plunketts were dominant in all sectors, half back Baz Reynolds soared up the field to make it 1-7 to 0-2 at half time. Both Murphy brothers, Ciaran and Robert, found the target for the Dundalk side.
The second half was more of the same, except Emmet Kelleher’s side were more clinical. The game’s top scorer, Seán Callaghan, bagged a goal while Kristian Nolan got in on the rout too.

The high scoring encounter went right to the wire in a dramatic finish, with Alan Kirk landing the winner for the visitors after they trailed by six at the break, 3-3 to 0-6.
A Jack Regan brace and Michael McArdle’s goals looked to have the Barrs in control. Having suffered a late loss during the week, Glyde however, fought back with goals from Darren McKeever and Brian Duffy to draw themselves level with Duffy hitting the winning free in the finish.

WOLFE TONES 2-8 STABANNON PARNELLS 0-8
Wolfe Tones picked up their first win of the Division 3A campaign over fellow promotion side Stabannon Parnells away in the heart of mid-Louth.
Garrett Cooney found the net in the first half and that gave the Drogheda men the edge right throughout. Harry Butterly tried to reel in the major, but the hosts trailed 1-3 to 0-5 at the midway mark.
With the goal separating the sides and always looking like it was going to be the difference, Parnells were always chasing the game. Aonghus Giggins and Robbie Callaghan came off the bench to score, but Tones would add to their tally.
Tones half back Adam Gartland wrapped up the maiden win for Martin Rice and Jay Finnegan’s side with a screamer in the finish.
