Dundalk court: Fined and banned for drink driving

A 26 year old man who subsequently failed a drink driving breath test, came to Garda attention after he was seen driving 'with no lights on' in a dimly lit area around 2am, Dundalk district court heard last week.

The investigating garda gave evidence that Noel Gumley with an address at Convent Court, Main Street, Cavan was slurring his words when he spoke to him on Bellewsbridge Road, Dundalk on August 1st 2021.

Judge Eirinn McKiernan imposed a €300 fine and a two year driving ban.
