Mags Tuite Fundraising Gig in Aid of Irish Cancer Society

Music fan’s are in for an outstanding evening of world class blues on May 25 in Toales Bar of Dundalk at 7pm, in a fundraising gig in aid of the Irish Cancer Society, organised by Mags Tuite.

Local blues pioneer Grainne Duffy, described as having a "voice that is as passionate as it is raw and honest", the legendary Harbour Blues Band, Sam Davidson’s TASTE, and the Mc Collum Brothers, are gathering under one roof for an evening of exceptional selected music in support of Mags Tuite and the Irish Cancer Society.

Even under the duress of not-for-the-first-time chemo treatment, Mags Tuite has gathered these remarkable musical talents to raise awareness and funds for the amazing services of the Irish Cancer Society.

Grainne Duffy who needs no introduction performs in Toales coinciding with release of her new album ‘Dirt Woman Blues’, recorded in collaboration with Marc Forde formerly of the Black Crowes.

Audiences may well have enjoyed the Harbour Blues Band, whose regular Sunday afternoon gigs in the Spirit Store were legendary. The lads who play an innovative blend of blues, some of which has its origins at the start of the 1920s, are set to light up the old fans and make new ones with their set on the night.

Sam Davidson's TASTE an iconic blues/rock band from the 60’s were founded by songwriter and guitarist Rory Gallagher who left the band in 1970. Sam Davidson has taken over Rory Gallaghers role as frontman as TASTE with McCracken and Mills keeping the sound and energy of the original band alive. The Mc Collum Brothers, Shane and Roddy, will perform their original blend of Celtic Rock.

Don’t miss this opportunity to re-live Rory’s sound at Toales on Crowe Street, Dundalk, on May 25th at 7pm. This is a night and of exceptional international talent brought to local audiences in the spirit of awareness and support. Tickets €15 at the door  - All donations gratefully accepted.
