New application lodged for 34 homes at Castletown Road in Dundalk
Full planning permission sought for development
A new planning application has been lodged with Louth County Council for a housing development at the Castletown Road in Dundalk that would see, if given the go ahead, 34 new homes built.
Gerard McDonnell has applied to Louth County Council for planning permission for the development at Townspark, Castletown Road, Dundalk, comprising a mix of apartments and houses.
The planned development consists of one terrace of six dwellings and two terraces, each comprising three dwellings. It also comprises two semi-detached dwellings and one terrace consisting of four dwellings, two ground floor one-bed apartments and two three-bed duplexes.
It includes two apartment blocks each consisting of three ground floor one-bed apartments and three three-bed duplexes. The planning application also provides for an internal access road, landscaping, car parking, boundary treatments, drainage works and all associated site development works.
A previous planning application had been made for this development but was deemed invalid as the Natura Impact Statement submitted was not notified on the newspaper notice or site notice in accordance with article 239 of the Planning and Development Regulations.
A decision is due on the new application by 20 June with submissions due by 30 May 2023.
