The title Greater Than > is open to interpretation by each of the artists exhibiting. The various themes being explored include inequality, gender, and school days gone by. Each artist takes their own inspiration from the theme to create a dedicated piece of art.
Ceramicist Gillian Callan from Louth Craftmark has commented, “Building on from our very successful Connective 22 Exhibition, and the fantastic Winter Weekender events last year, it gives us great joy to present our Greater Than > Exhibition in the Basement Gallery, in An Táin Arts Centre.
"Our members have been working tirelessly on brand new work, which they are very excited to exhibit to the public. I want to encourage anyone with an interest in art to come and see the beautiful pieces that we have on display, all of which have been created by visual artists in the northeast of Ireland.”
Paul Hayes, Director, An Táin Arts Centre has said, "It’s wonderful to welcome back Louth Craftmark to our Basement Gallery for the first time since the pandemic. We have hosted them a number of times before and they always deliver a selection of work that is of the highest quality and standard and are a wonderful showcase for local craft.” For further information please visit: www.louthcraftmark.com.
