Woman stole from Tesco Extra in Dundalk, court heard

A 31 year old woman who was seen putting items in her bag, down her sleeve and in her pocket, in Tesco Extra in Dundalk, has been given a four month suspended sentence at the local district court.

Nadine Taggart of Lennon Melia Court, Armagh Road, Dundalk pleaded guilty to theft from the store at Stapleton Place on May 14th last year.

The defence solicitor told Judge Eirinn McKiernan that her client, who the court heard had 16 previous convictions, has struggled with heroin over the years and had relapsed in 2022, but she is now on a methadone treatment programme.
