Louth County Council refuses planning for six new apartments in Dundalk
Planning permission refused for development at Grange Close
Louth County Council has refused planning permission for six new apartments at Grange Close in Dundalk.
Alan Haughey, Michael Shields and Eoin Murdock had applied to the local authority for planning permission for a development at Grange Close, Muirhevnamor, Dundalk, that would have seen the demolition of an existing commercial unit at the site and the construction of the new development.
The new development would have comprised a two storey residential unit of two, one bedroom apartments and four, two bedroom apartments.
Louth County Council refused planning permission for the development on 12 January for reasons including, "it would be contrary to national policy provisions regarding the creation of sustainable residential communities and the general provisions of the Sustainable Urban Design Guidelines for Planning Authorities and the accompanying Urban Design Manual."
