Established in 2000 DkIT’s Lifelong Learning Centre co-ordinates the part-time course offering for the Institute where now one-in-five of our student body is a part-time or flexible learner.
With new courses being developed every year in areas such as supply chain management, data analytics, computer animation, early childhood studies and nursing to name just a few, student numbers have been in growth mode for over 10 years.
“We are one of the fastest growing colleges in the country in terms of part-time student numbers”, said Anton Barrett, DkIT’s Head of Lifelong Learning.
The selection of part-time courses, available range from Certificate to Postgraduate level. Many will be delivered wholly online or in blended format, which is a combination of online and on-campus teaching. DkIT’s part-time courses are designed with employability in mind and have been carefully developed with industry partners to make sure we are creating courses that are suitable for the current job market.
Kevin Adams completed a part-time Certificate in Digital Marketing and Digital Media Management and said of his learning experience “Going back to DkIT turned out to be one of the best decisions I ever made" he also added “Between 2018 and 2020 I attended two brilliant evening courses: Digital Marketing and Digital Media Management and Management Studies.
