LADY Captain Katherina Conneally-Sloan welcomed the past Lady Captains to Killin on Friday May 17.

This annual outing is very popular with the ladies and amid glorious sunshine the ladies played an 18 hole stableford competition and the stakes were high among some of the groups! A buffet was served after the golf and tales of golf and early days in Killin was the banter around the table.

Beatrice Prenty was the very popular winner of the competition with a great score of 38pts. 2nd was Ita Donnelly on 35pts (on countback from 3rd Marie Fegan 35pts.

Amen corner was won by Catherine Mullins while Joan Sexton scooped the prize for best score on the Par 3s. Theresa Connolly won the front nine with 16pts and Teresa Giff won the back nine with 20pts. A very enjoyable day was had by all.

Meanwhile, on Thursday May 16 we our 18 Hole Stableford competition was kindly sponsored by McLoughlin Frozen Foods Ltd, Newry Road, Dundalk. We are very grateful to them for their sponsorship.

Winner was: Bernie Murtagh (20)with a score of 37 points; 2nd: Marie Fegan (24 )with a score of 37 points (count back); 3rd: Siobhan Duffy (27) with a score of 35 points.
