Dundalk Ladies shine in very difficult conditions

Dundalk Ladies braved the elements last week to support a very worthy cause. The 3Ts competition was very kindly sponsored once again by New Faces. New Faces Beauty Salon in Dublin St has been in existance for the past 30-years, and are wonderful supporters of the ladies club.

Dundalk Ladies braved the elements last week to support a very worthy cause. The 3Ts competition was very kindly sponsored once again by New Faces. New Faces Beauty Salon in Dublin St has been in existance for the past 30-years, and are wonderful supporters of the ladies club.

The 3Ts was set up about 10 years ago under the patronage of Padraig Harrington. Its main purpose is to generate sucicide awareness among young males. Almost 100 ladies took part in the competition under very difficult conditions.

The winner in Class A was Irene Quinn (18) 77, 2nd Jacinta Foran (18) 77. Class B winner Jean Connolly (24) 77, 2nd Emer Matthews (25) 77, 3rd Catherine McGuinness (22) 77. Class C winner Leone Baillie (30) 73, 2nd Colette McCrory 77, 3rd Violet McGeady (33) 80.

Twos were reccorded on the 5th by Pat Cleary and Catherine Smyth and Mary Murray on the 13th. The overall winner of the competiton was Leone Baillie. Leone along with the club Professional Leslie Walker and Lady Captain Niamh Maguie will go on to play in the regional final later in the season. Sinead Hiney from New Faces presented the prizes.
