The Louth panel for Sunday’s opening National league clash with Westmeath has been announced and the return of Newtown Blues forward Colm Judge is the main addition following a long absence from the county set up.
Elsewhere, Naomh Malachi’s Kevin Rogers starts in the full forward line. The Mals man was impressive during the county championship for the North Louth club last season and along with Judge he is joined by Shane Lennon in the attacking line.
Na Piarsaigh’s Gary O’Hare slots in alongside Padraig Rath and Dessie Finnegan along the full back line. Finnegan had been deployed in a more forward position during the O’Byrne Cup but he now reverts back to his usual area.
Paddy Keenan returns to the starting 15. there were concerns earlier in the week that the Pat’s man could miss out on the match in Cusack Park due to injury.
On the bench is the impressive James Califf of Dreadnots along with the returned O’Mahony’s man John O’Brien.
