The search for Louth’s next football manager is set to move up a gear in the next week, with the announcement that interviews for the post are set to take place.

The search for Louth’s next football manager is set to move up a gear in the next week, with the announcement that interviews for the post are set to take place.

There is speculation that the interview process could begin before this weekend.

At present U21 manager and former O’Raghallaighs boss Colin kelly is the heavy favourite, having publically expressed his interest in the post two weeks ago, following his decision to step down as the Drogheda side’s manager.

The much touted duo of current St Patricks boss Fergal Reel and fellow Ulster man Peter McDonnell hit the rocks last week when McDonnell decided to take up a position as a selector on the Armagh inter county team.
