NAOMH Mairtin’s player Mick Fanning has capped off a dramatic return from Australia and America as he was named in Peter Fitzpatrick’s starting 15 for this Sunday’s Championship clash with Carlow.
Fanning, an absent member of the panel for the first six months of the team has forced himself into the starting side after impressing Fitzpatrick in training since his return two weeks ago.
As a result of Fanning’s inclusion, Gerard Hoey will drop to the bench as Dessie Finnegan will now line out at left corner back.
In other team news, Derek Crilly has shaken off a hamstring injury and will join Adrian and David Reid in the half forward line. Mark Brennan has missed out with a back injury and will be replaced by Mattock Rangers teammate, David Reid on the forty.
Up front, Shane Lennon will be joined by Derek Maguire and JP Rooney in Louth’s attack line.
