TRAINED female violinist Audrey Trainor from Omeath is getting ready to release her new high octane single ‘Mr Fake’ with vocalist James O’Connor on Friday, May 27.
Produced by Chris O’Brien and Graham Murphy from the Production Suite, the single is an energetic, contemporary Celtic pop song. The lyrics question “reality, conscience and imitation”.
Audrey and James hit the road on May 20 touring and promoting ‘Mr Fake’ with a combination of support slots, the official launch party, instores, festival appearances and radio interviews.
Their new album ‘From Now On’ is scheduled to be released in the Autumn. ‘Mr Fake’ follows a great year for the duo, who scored their first top 10 hit last April with ‘Falling Up’ reaching No 9.
They also made many festival appearances including Electric Picnic and the Helium Festival, and have toured the UK and the USA with headline shows.
While they were in America, Audrey and James recorded a live studio album in the world famous Sun Studio with James Lott, who previously recorded U2. The previous week, Lott recorded Robert Plant there.
Their live studio album was released in October 2009. They have opened for great artists such as The Waterboys, Steve Wickham, Bell X1’s – Dave Geraghty, Miss Paula Flynn, and Mick Flannery.
