Presidential candidate Catherine Connolly to visit Dundalk

Presidential Candidate and Independent TD for Galway West Catherine Connolly will be visiting Dundalk next Wednesday, 27 August.
The independent TD, former Leas-Cheann Comhairle, barrister and clinical psychologist is currently the only confirmed candidate for November's presidential election.
Dundalk 4 Connolly a local group supporting her campaign will be holding an event on Wednesday, 27 August from 7.30-9.00pm in An Táin Arts Centre, Crowe Street, Dundalk, to welcome Deputy Connolly to Dundalk and Louth more generally, to hear about her campaign, “Guth na nDaoine – For the Common Good” and ask questions or raise comments about issues and challenges that are important to the local community.

Deputy Connolly officially entered the 2025 Presidential race on 11 July, announcing her candidacy on RTÉ Raidió na Gaeltachta and secured the minimum 20 Oireachtas nominations, supported by the Social Democrats, People Before Profit, 100% Redress and other independents.
