Organisers of the Irish Life Dundalk office annual charity event, that took place last Friday have said they wish to say "thank you so much to anyone who walked, donated, or helped in anyway at our Dundalk Charity Walk Challenge", and that "with great support from all our staff we completed the challenge finishing on a total of 576km".
Each year Irish Life staff elect two staff charities who will benefit from their fundraising efforts for that year, with Breast Cancer Ireland and Pieta House being this year's charities.
The staff's efforts this year has seen them raise €2,015 so far, which will be doubled to €4,030, as the total amount donated is matched by Irish Life each year.
Staff Charities, the fundraising committee made up of Irish Life & Canada Life Group staff that raises money on behalf of all staff, and who were behind this year's event, say that "it was a brilliant fun day here in Dundalk and we also had the Leinster Delaney and Flood Cups make an appearance on the day too."
