Lady Captain Sally with 2025 Golfer of the Year and Bronze medal winner Mary Burlingham
The final weekend before Christmas saw two competitions taking place at Dundalk Golf Club. On Friday and Sunday, there was a 14 hole singles stableford competition played over four divisions.
The best score of the competition was produced by Patrick Clarke (11), who shot 34pts on his way to winning Division 2.

In Division 1, Gerry Mulligan maintained his good 2025 form by shooting 30pts to take the honours, while Peter Moran (11) shot a similar score in winning Division 3. Donal Corcoran (25) took Division 4 with 29pts.
On Sunday, there was a Christmas team competition which was won by the quartet of Ciaran Corbett, Peter Cunningham, Gordon Corry and Aidan Lawless who dove-tailed brilliantly to shoot an excellent score of 77pts.
Friday, December 19 and Saturday, December 20 - 14 Hole Singles Stableford - Division 1: Gerry Mulligan (8) 30pts, Division 2: Patrick Clarke (11) 34pts, Division 3: Peter Jnr Moran (11) 30pts, Division 4: Donal Corcoran (25) 29pts.
Sunday, December 21 – Christmas 14 Hole Team Competition – Ciaran Corbett, Peter Cunningham, Gordon Corry, Aidan Lawless 77pts; Eoin Hamill, Chris McGeady, Adrian Kenny, John Sharkey 75pts; Kevin Barry, Michael Gill, Patsy Arrowsmith, Michael Noone 73/45/32.
Dundalk Golf Club Ladies
The Ladies' section of Dundalk Golf Club held its end-of-year AGM on 9th December. Lady Captain Sally thanked all for making her year so enjoyable and wished the incoming officers all the best for 2026.
Incoming Lady Captain Leone Baille introduced her incoming Lady President, Fionnuala Dullaghan and incoming Lady Vice Captain Catherine Duffy.
Once all the formalities were complete, the presentation of all outstanding cups and trophies was made.

Runners Up: Team Flurries - Teresa Giff, Maeve Ahern, Margaret McCourt, Gillian Murphy, Joanne Lynch, Linda Stewart; Individual winner: Maura Coyle.
