The Precision Cables Ireland Winter League 2026 has kicked off at Dundalk Golf Club with 10 teams of seven players each taking part. The best four scores each week will count towards the team’s overall total for each of the six rounds.

If a team has less than four players playing on any given week, they will be awarded a nominal 22pts for each player they are short. This year’s theme for the team names will be makes of cars.

Dundalk Golf Club Ladies

There was a lovely atmosphere in the Golf Club last Tuesday evening, where a special night was had to celebrate the success of our Ladies Junior Cup Team on reaching the All-Ireland finals, hosted by Tandragee Golf Club in September.

Our Director of Teams, Noeleen Gernon, reminded those present of the team's achievements to reach the finals.  Along the way, our ladies won their matches against Ardee, Louth, and Skerries.

This set them up for a tough final against Headfort in Corballis. Thankfully, we came out on top to become North Leinster Champions and were rewarded with our Pennant.

Off to Tandragee, where they beat Co. Galway in a nail-biting match.  The following morning, they played ladies from Tipperary Golf Club. Unfortunately, it wasn't to be, and Tipperary won ( they went on to become outright winners).

On Tuesday night, the team managers, Lesley O'Keeffe and Katherina Conneally Sloan, officially presented the Pennant to our Lady Captain, Sally McDonnell. Lesley and Katherina left no stone unturned to prepare the team for their quest for success.

The team had great support from all members of the club, and on behalf of the panel of players, Lesley thanked all those who sponsored the team and those who travelled to support the team.
