This is a tremendous achievement and is a reflection of the fantastic level of commitment, dedication and consistency in performance that the team has delivered over the last two seasons.

Over the course of the league campaign, Bellurgan have scored 72 goals, with leading scorer Becca Crowley notching 19 goals, closely followed by Claire Callan on 14.

At the other end of the pitch, Una Pearson and her miserly defence have only conceded five League goals. The season is not over as Bellurgan are still in the UHY Farrelly Dawe White Women’s Challenge Cup.

Bellurgan have reached the semi-final stage and have a very tough draw away to fellow Premier Division side Albion Rovers. This match is scheduled to be played on Monday, 6th October.

The team is led by inspirational team Captain Claire (Mull) Callan and is a great blend of youth and experience, and the full squad is as follows:

Claire Callan, Una Pearson, Ailish Fee, Megan Reader, Tara Nevin, Rebecca Lambe Fagan, Lynn Craven, Dayna Ferguson, Laura Mathews, Claire Byrne, Eimear Finnegan, Mya Hanlon, Laura Grills, Megan Weatherall, Rachel Gernon, Kerrie Gregory, Eimear Traynor, Becca Crowley, Michelle Morris, Janine Hanratty, Grace Murray, Faith McCourt, and Anne-Marie Kirk.

The management team consists of Austin Traynor, John Morris, and Tara Nevin. The team is always on the lookout for new players, so if interested in joining, you can contact Tara – 087 9358196 or Austin – 086 8340040
