Tommy-Joe Mc Cartney levelled things up with a narrow win over Marty Dixon (Marty hit a 152 checkout). But further wins for Conor McArdle and Conor Dunn would secure a place in the final.
Meanwhile, in the other semi-final, First Division League winners Damh O'Thuaidh faced off against Premier Division Team Uncle Toms Cabin.
Player of the Match for Damh O'Thuaidh, Alan Rogan, started off impressively with a 2-0 win. Paddy Gibney won the next game 2-1 for Damh O'Thuaidh despite the best efforts of Aaron Duffy.
Paul Callan put Damh O'Thuaidh further ahead in the next game. Player of the Match for Uncle Toms Cabin, Colm Flanagan, had a 2-1 win to reduce the deficit.
But a win for Hughie Shields put Damh O'Thuaidh into the final. The final saw Premier Division Winners, Big House Eagles play First Division winners, Damh O'Thuaidh.
Simon Wykes, Player of the Match for Damh O'Thuaidh, hit eight 100+ scores in the first game to put Damh O'Thuaidh into the lead.
But then Marty Dixon with a narrow 2-1 win and Conor Mc Ardle both won to put the Eagles 2-1 up. Martin Carvill, player of the match for The Big House Eagles, hit two 180s enroute to a 2-0 win.
The next game was a real family affair with Paul Callan of Damh O'Thuaidh facing off against his nephew Stephen Shields.
It was a great battle and Stephen would eventually win by the slenderest of margins and in doing so would win the Shield for the Ann Street team.
The committee of the Dundalk and District Dart League would like to thank Corbetts for hosting the Finals Night and a big congratulations to the Big House Eagles on winning the Open Shield.
Next up next week is the Divisional Doubles with Corbett's hosting the Premier Division, Uncle Toms hosting the First Division and the Phoenix hosting the Second Division.
