Dundalk Roads Policing Unit conducted speed checks in the Bellurgan area this week, focusing on traffic during school finishing times.
Two vehicles were detected travelling at dangerous speeds — one clocked at 83km/h and the other at 80km/h — in a 50km/h zone. Both drivers received fixed penalty notices.
