Speeding crackdown near Louth school sees drivers fined

Dundalk Roads Policing Unit conducted speed checks in the Bellurgan area this week, focusing on traffic during school finishing times.

Two vehicles were detected travelling at dangerous speeds — one clocked at 83km/h and the other at 80km/h — in a 50km/h zone. Both drivers received fixed penalty notices.

Gardaí continue to urge drivers to slow down and stay alert, especially in residential and school areas.
