Search continues at Louth home in suspected murder of Kyran Durnin

Gardai are still continuing a search of a house on Hand Street in Drogheda, County Louth this morning.  in connection with the suspected murder of Kyran Durnin.

Kyran, who would be eight years old if still alive, was reported missing in August and a murder investigation was launched in October.

Gardai believe he might have died aged six after it emerged he had not been seen since May 2022 when he was a pupil at a primary school in Dundalk.

Members of the Garda Technical Bureau were at the property in Hand Street throughout Thursday.

A man and a woman were arrested on suspicion of Kyran’s murder months after the investigation was launched.

In December, the man, in his 30s, was found dead.

Three domestic properties and adjoining land have also been searched to date.

The Garda investigation team said it can be contacted at Drogheda Garda Station on 041 987 4200, the Garda Confidential Line on (1800) 666 111 or any Garda station.
