Gardai continue to investigate after a woman who was travelling on an e-scooter was discovered injured in Dundalk

Gardai have launched an investigation after a young women who was travelling on an e-scooter was discovered with “serious injuries” in Dundalk on Friday night.

The woman, in her 20s, who was travelling on an e-scooter, was found with serious injuries on the road on Tom Bellew Avenue in Dundalk on Friday, October 25th.

The incident is believed to have occurred at around 9.30pm.

The woman was removed from the scene to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda to be treated for injuries believed to be serious.

The scene was cordoned off by gardai and preserved for examination.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to this incident to come forward.

“Any road users or pedestrians who were in the area between 9.15pm and 9.45pm and may have camera footage (including dash-cam) are asked to make it available” a garda spokesperson said.
