Pleaded guilty to arson attack on house in Dundalk

A 40-year-old man accused of targeting a house in an arson attack in a County Louth housing estate, has pleaded guilty at Dundalk Circuit Court.

Declan Clarke with a separate address at Rockfield Manor, Hoey’s Lane, Dundalk admitted damaging 83 Rockfield Manor by fire on September 20th 2021.

The Defence barrister told the court there are a number of counts on the indictment, and a proposal has been put to the State, in that regard.

Judge Dara Hayes put back the case to June 9th and at the request of the Defence directed the preparation of Probation report and directed that the defendant undergo urinalysis.
