A Louth-based interior designer has been announced as a winner at the inaugural Female Founder Awards Ireland & NI 2026

Louth-based interior designer Niamh Carter, founder of Niamh Carter Interiors, has been announced as a winner at the inaugural Female Founder Awards Ireland & NI 2026, following her recent shortlisting in the Ireland Design category.

The award, presented last Thursday evening in Thomas Prior Hall, Ballsbridge, recognises Niamh’s work in building Niamh Carter Interiors and her contribution to the design industry through her Blackrock-based studio, known for its residential and commercial interior design services and one-stop-shop approach to interior furnishing.

Speaking after the win, Niamh said: “It’s a very proud moment for me and for the whole team, especially Olive and Padraig.

“Building a business in our industry takes a huge amount of hard work behind the scenes, so to have that recognised in this way is incredibly special.

“I’m so grateful to our clients, suppliers, tradespeople, as well as my family, friends, and everyone who have supported Niamh Carter Interiors throughout the journey.”

Since launching, Niamh Carter Interiors has continued to grow across the North-East and beyond, combining a full-service design studio with an online store, the business provides clients with a streamlined, all-in-one approach to interiors.

This award marks an important milestone for the business, recognising its continued growth and the success of a local female-founded company making its mark in the Irish design industry.
