In the aftermath of Storm Chandra Louth Local Enterprise Office have reminded local businesses that the Emergency Humanitarian Flooding Scheme is available to small businesses of up to 20 employees (or wholetime equivalents), and community, voluntary and sports organisations who, through no fault of their own, have been unable to obtain insurance cover for flooding.
The funding provided by the scheme is to contribute towards the costs of restoring the premises of a business or voluntary, community or sports organisation to its original, pre-flood condition.
The funding may be used for the replacement of damaged flooring, fixtures, fittings, and stock if relevant.
The maximum funding amount available through the scheme is up to €20,000 per small business or voluntary, community or sports organisation.
