New CEO appointed to Dundalk Chamber of Commerce

John McGahon has been announced today as the new CEO of Dundalk Chamber of Commerce

Dundalk Chamber of Commerce has said that it is delighted to announce the appointment of John McGahon as its new CEO.

In a statement today, Dundalk Chamber said that John McGahon’s extensive experience in public service "has equipped him with strong policy expertise and combined with his skills in strategic planning and public engagement, demonstrate his ability to represent and advocate for local business and community interests effectively. He has a deep understanding of government processes, making him well-prepared to lead Dundalk Chamber as CEO."

The Chamber went on to say that with "his strong leadership and commitment to advancing business in Dundalk, John is set to drive growth and opportunities for our 250+ members and the wider community."

Taking on his new role, Mr McGahon said of his appointment: "I am really delighted to take up the role of CEO of Dundalk Chamber of Commerce. Dundalk has a proud business tradition, rooted in innovation, community spirit, and cross-border cooperation. I look forward to building on that legacy; supporting our local enterprises, attracting new investment, and strengthening the voice of business across the region."

Hanna McDonnell, President of Dundalk Chamber of Commerce shared John’s excitement, saying: "John’s experience and strategic vision will be invaluable in advancing the Chamber's mission and positioning Dundalk as a hub for business excellence."
