Clara Byrne plays in Toales on Friday night

Fireside Sessions is an acoustic club in Toales in Dundalk that showcases the best in acoustic acts, always inside by the fire in the bar, always free admission, and is proud to welcome back the stunning singer/songwriter Clara Byrne.
Clara is a songwriting graduate of BIMM Dublin and has played all around Ireland and gigged extensively while living abroad in Berlin and San Francisco, and has been fortunate enough to support a wealth of Irish talent including Wallis Bird, Mick Pyro (Republic Of Loose), Cathy Davey and Neil Hannon (Divine Comedy).
She finds her lyrical inspiration in the world around her and seeks solitude from that world in the music she creates, with UK reviewer Get In Her Ears describing Clara's music as “a poignant reflection of the pressures and contradictions we encounter living under capitalism… (with) sincere lyrics and rich vocals”.

Join us on Friday 11th October at Toales Live Venue, Dundalk, for a night of top-quality, hilarious stand-up comedy with the El Paso Comedy Club, hosted as always by Dundalk's very own Texan Elizabeth Redmond.
This month's headliner is none other than the award-winning (and one of the most sought after comedians in the country) Eric Lalor.
Having started way back on Des Bishop’s Joy in the Hood, Eric has gone on to forge a successful career in comedy, appearing at all the major comedy festivals and headlining venues up and down the country.
Some people will recognise him as the villain from Fair City, the gangster, Cathal Spillane. Indeed Eric has a number of acting credits including Amber, Brigid & Eamonn, The Commute and COVID based comedy, Socially Distant, plus a number of short films.
He has won Irish comedian of the year twice as voted by the readers of entertainment.ie, and his podcast, You Must Be Jokin, which he co-hosts with fellow Ballymunner Willa White, has won Best Podcast at the Digital Media Awards.Having recently stormed his new show, Lol’er By Nature at the Liberty Hall Theatre, Eric is at the top of his game and one of the most reliable comedy acts in the country.

Saturday 30th November - The Black Star Band - A tribute to David Bowie - €10
Dublin-based David Bowie Tribute Band, The Black Star Band debut in Toales Live Venue with a two hour show that features "The Rise And Fall Of Ziggy Stardust And The Spiders From Mars" album in full plus a full set of David Bowie's Greatest Hits spanning over 50 years of this iconic artist's catalogue from Space Oddity right up to The Black Star Album.
Formed in 2023, the band have based their sound very much on The Spiders From Mars, taking a high energy and stripped back approach to the music, which works to great effect on songs such as Lazarus and I'm Afraid Of Americans.
Doors Open 8pm and admission is only €10, online tickets available at Eventbrite.
