Dundalk man charged with possession of drugs canister of pepper spray

A 19 year old man who took responsibility for a canister of pepper spray and a quantity of cannabis found in a bedroom at his home, had his case adjourned at Dundalk district court last week so his suitability for the drug treatment court can be assessed.

PJ Carolan with an address at Cedarwood Park, Dundalk was charged with unlawful possession of the drug, and possession of a firearm arising out of the incident which occurred on August 26th last.

Judge Eirinn McKiernan put back the case to May after the defence solicitor said his client has been battling a cannabis addiction since his teenage years and was last week placed on a 12 month Probation bond.
