Man (70s) seriously injured in Louth crash

Louth gardai attended the scene

A man in his seventies has been seriously injured in an accident involving two cars and an SUV on the R165 at Mandistown near Ardee yesterday evening.

Shortly after 5pm, Gardaí and emergency services responded to the collision were the man was airlifted to Tallaght Hospital with serious injuries (non-life threatening).

The two other motorists, both women aged in their 30s and 50s, were taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda for medical assessment.

Investigations are ongoing, and anyone with information is asked to contact Navan Garda Station at 046-9079930 or the Garda Confidential Line at 1800 666 111.
