23 new homes planned for Lis na Dara in Dundalk

Planning permission sought from Louth County Council for new housing at Lis na Dara in Dundalk
Plans are underway for 23 new homes at Lis na Dara in Dundalk with a planning application lodged with the local planning authority in recent days.
Silaro Limited has applied to Louth County Council for planning permission for the development at Cluain Fhada and Bothar na Carraig, Lis na Dara, Dundalk.
The proposed development consists of dwellings comprising 20 apartments and three bungalows.
The proposed apartments are located in the ‘Cluain Fhada’ area and will be accommodated in four separate two-storey buildings on the site of a previously approved residential development permitted under a separate planning permission that has now expired.
According to the planning application, all four apartment buildings feature a dual roof profile incorporating flat and pitched elements, and the first-floor apartment dwellings would be served by balconies.
All apartments would also served by external bike and bin storage facilities, together with surface car parking and EV charging points.
A terraced block of three bungalows is also proposed on an infill site on the western side of an Bóthair na Carraig, opposite the apartment building known as ‘Ard na Solais’ and to the north of the existing neighbourhood centre.
A similar development was previously permitted on this part of the site under a previous planning application, but this permission has now expired according to Silaro Limited.
The planning application also provides for public lighting, landscaping and boundary treatments, EV Charging and ducting together with all associated site development works.
A decision is due on the planning application, which is currently at a pre-validation stage, by 7 December, with submissions due by 16 November.
