Have you got what it takes to join the gardaí ? Our reporter went to Templemore to find out!
Journalists put to the test at the Garda College
An Garda Síochána invited members of the media to the Garda Training College earlier this week to experience the pre-selection fitness test for those who have applied to join the force.
Journalists and reporters from across the country attended the event in Templemore including Tipperary-based reporter Stephen Gleeson.
Policing is intrinsically rewarding as a career but to reach the trainee stage you must go through a rigorous selection procedure, designed to test whether you have the qualities necessary to become a successful member of An Garda Síochána.
Being a Garda is a tough job - but it’s a job worth doing.
Check out how Stephen got on by watching the video (above).
If you would like to join the force you can apply before 3pm, this Thursday via publicjobs.ie.
