Dundalk man and veteran sports commentator Jimmy Magee is hoping to be the oldest singer to have a number one hit in Ireland.
The 79 year old broadcasting legend has released a charity single, ‘These Old Eyes Have Seen It All’, in aid of Motor Neuron Disease after his own son Paul sadly passed away from the disease.
The single went straight into the Irish charts at number six and Boylesports are confident that the single can reach number one in the Irish Charts and have installed it at 8/13 to knock Pharrell Williams off the top spot with ‘Happy’.
Aoife Heffron, PR Executive at Boylesports, commented “Jimmy’s single is for a great cause and has a real sentimental touch to it as it looks back on what the Memory Man has seen throughout his lifetime. Boylesports believes he can reach number one in the charts and are offering 8/13 that he will do just that.”
