The Louth Field Names Project held a meeting in Naomh Malachi Clubrooms on Thursday 7th March at 8pm.The purpose of this meeting was to gather and record information on Field names in the Shelagh area and surrounding Townlands. This Historical Information is in danger of being lost to future generations.All Landowners ,Farmers and Interested parties who may have useful information on this subject can call 0879263666 for further details. Congratulations to all the cast of our recent production of Snow White, it was a very enjoyable show. Over 20 Children took part under the direction of Ms Caireen McPhillips. Thanks to all who attended to support the children, to committee members and parents for their help in preparation for the evening. Many thanks also to Shane O’Neill, O’Neills Cost Cutter for sponsoring 2 hampers for a raffle on the night. The drama will take a break now until after the Easter Break.

Fund Raising cycle
Naomh Malachi are taking part in a four counties 100km sponsered cycle in order to raise funds for the club.It is due to commence at Courtbane on Sunday 2nd June .It will pass through counties Louth, Monaghan,Meath and finally finishing up in Dublin at the Oiver Plunketts/Eoghan Ruadh GFC.There are over 40 members already signed up to take part in this ambitious event and training will commence shortly.Anyone interested in joining them,or for further details, can contact Joey or Ronan on 0876777171 or 0876445490 respectively.Participating members will be supplied with their sponsership cards over the next week.This will be our major fund raising event for this year so please support genorously.The Oliver plunketts/Eoghan Ruadh club will also complete the journey starting at their end on the 16th of June after which there will be entertainment in the Malachis clubrooms.
Naomh Malachi were narrowly defeated in their refixed Paddy Sheelan Cup match against Na Piarsaigh on Thursday 14th March. A depleted squad performed very well but were beaten by 3 points in the end.Final score Naomh Malachi 1-8 Na Piarsagh 2-8. Our next outing is away against Kilkerly on this coming Friday at 8pm.Please come along and show your support to the lads .
The new Gym is expected to open next week and will be a great asset to the club.This facility will be free to use by all members ,so any outstanding memberships should be paid to Sean Gogarty asap.

There was no winners of the lotto draw which took place on March 9th.Numbers were 2,9,18,26.
